'“We have bought pork, beef, chicken and turkey from Winona and Rick.  In the ten years we have lived in Shawnigan we have always purchased our meats from local farmers.  The HomePlace Farm is hands down the BEST meat we have ever had!  It rivals any of the local farmers and top grocery stores or butchers for quality and cut.  The beef is better than Alberta triple AAA.  We've had t-bone steaks that were thick, juicy and so incredibly tender, not to mention all the other great cuts.  The pork is top notch, delicate in flavor with just the right amount of fat.  The chickens are big and juicy! And the turkey was huge, and I butchered it into sections that made 4 freezer packs large enough to feed 6 people and still have leftovers. Well worth it to have such a good turkey and to have 4 amazing meals from it throughout the year.   We are so pleased to have found Winona and Rick's farm.  Their home place is beautiful and it is apparent the care they take in raising their animals.”
